Order and security in the courts of the Lord, ensuring a serene atmosphere for worship.

The Vigilant Guardians

The Holy Police department was formed in 1988, making it one of the longest-standing administrative pillars of the ministry. Our core mandate is the stewardship of security and order within the physical boundaries of the church property.

Our presence is most felt at the perimeter, where we ensure that members and visitors can worship with absolute peace of mind. Under the dedicated leadership of Bro Emeka Okoronkwo, who has steered the department with excellence since 2003, we have maintained a record of safety and hospitality that mirrors the church's standard of excellence.

Core Responsibilities

The department is charged with the strategic oversight of church surroundings:
  • Automotive Security: Safeguarding all vehicles parked in the church car park during services.
  • Traffic Management: Coordinating the flow of traffic on Kudirat Abiola Way and Household of God Street.
  • First Impressions: Providing a warm, secure welcome to every member as they arrive at the car park.

Membership & Meetings

Comprising approximately 20 elite members, the department operates with a high level of discipline and coordination. We believe that security is an essential component of the worship experience, allowing the Word of God to be received without distraction or anxiety.

The team convenes for its strategic departmental meeting on the last Saturday of each month. These sessions are used to review security protocols, manage traffic logistics for upcoming events, and ensure the department remains ready to serve the peculiar people of God.
