A department structured to meet the needs of the brethren and ensure the proper organization of the specific arms of the ministry.

The Heart of the Ministry

The Pastoral Care Department was set up in 1998, synthesized from various Church units that had historically worked in close proximity to the Pastor. It serves as a vital bridge, structured directly under the office of Rev. Chris Okotie to ensure the brethren are cared for and the specific liturgical arms of the ministry operate with precision.

Our Head of Department, Miss Ogorchukwu Ogweh, brings a legacy of commitment to this role. Having joined the Household of God on February 1, 1988, she has been a volunteer worker for 27 years, leading this department with grace and purposeful direction for the past 16 years.

Core Operational Units

Visitation

Establishing personal contact through 'I Care' cards to provide fellowship, encouragement, and prayer support to needy members.

Praise & Worship

Leading the congregation in worship during Sunday and Wednesday services, weddings, and the annual GRACE Programme.

Audio/Video Crew

Ensuring technical audibility and visual excellence, managing sermon recordings, and the vital tape ministry.

Parenting Class

Ministering biblical principles for upbringing and providing fitness regimens for expectant mothers.

Sacrifice & Dedication

The department, which has over 50 listed members, meets twice a month on the church premises. These first and third Saturday sessions are essential for coordinating outreach and refining the technical and spiritual standards of the worship team and AV crew.

Our mission remains consistent: to provide a sanctuary of care where every member feels the personal touch of the ministry. Through prayer, technology, music, and education, the Pastoral Care Department continues to strengthen the foundations of the Household of God Church.
